The Cornerfield cafe is open every Monday and Friday from 9:30am till 12:30pm, providing a safe welcoming venue for any and all from the wider community to come and experience a friendly all inclusive cafe service. The Ministry is headed up by Geogie Dixon supported by a team of volunteers who are always available to talk and encourage those who just drop in.

One of the goals is to support and reach those who feel isolated from friends, community or society and provide a place for positive engagment. Many of the clients are those supported via the support system of the Rushden Night Shelter and tea/coffee and biscuits along with a friendly chat and a listening ear are the base line services we offer.

The name "Cornerfield" comes from the concept in the old testament when farmers were encouraged to leave the corners of their fields for the poor and landless to glean a harvest and a living. We want the Cornerfield Cafe to be an expression of God's love and provision to all who feel they need help and support.

In 2009 the addition of an internet link and dedicated computer system were set up in the cafe to allow internet surfing free of charge and to do such things as on line job searches or access web based information etc.
