Steppings Stones 2
This project is snapily titled the "Non Chaotic Young Peoples Supported Housing Project" or Stepping Stones 2 for short!
It began in July 2011, out of our work with young people with Autism Spectrum Disorders especially Aspergers Syndrome. It became apparent that there were no local facilities to house this category of people with some independance and appropriate support.
It occupies the same main building as our initial Stepping Stones project, and now comprises of a 3 bed unit, with an office space for support workers to use with clients.
The Units are single bed-sit rooms, with a shared toilet and kitchen plus utility space. This project is operated by ENCS with technical support from Alderwood Lifelong learning (A local Organisation supporting those with Autism Spectrum Disorders)
The project is managed by Paul Kirsh the Crisis Intervention Projects Youth Homelessness Officer.
