Street Pastors Project
This project was launched in 2008 from within the network of the East Northants Faith Group following a donation of £5,000 from Northamptonshire County council's Stronger Safer Community Funding pot.
Volunteers were raised from churches across East Northants, covering Oundle, Raunds and Rushden, and training begun in 2008 in partnership with Northampton Street Pastors. It is hoped that teams will be ready from April 2008 to go out on the streets providing a listening ear, a heart of concern and the light of the Gospel.
Street Pastors is a national innitiative of the Ascension Trust in a program backed by the Home Office and bringing Churches in a trinity partnership with local Police and community saftey teams. For information on Street Pastors click on the following link to Street pastors UK website
